Celebrate the Spirit of the 2016 Olympics With This Brazilian-Inspired Cocktail

Couldn’t make it to Rio de Janeiro in time to attend the 2016 Summer Olympic games? Are you there now and looking to round out the cocktail menu for the party you’ve been planning since you arrived? Well, seeing that the games are officially under way (and how much fun was that opening ceremony?), now seems like a good time to share this tequila-laced twist on Brazil’s national cocktail, the Caipirinha. Whether you’re drinking a toast to a victorious team of champions bringing home the gold, or soothing your dashed hopes because your team’s best came up short, this Roca Patrón Silver Caipirita recipe makes a great way to celebrate the spirit of the Rio games.

Roca Patrón Silver Caipirita

In the bottom of a double old fashioned glass, muddle the lime wedges, simple syrup and sugar cube. Add ice and Roca Patrón Silver, then roll drink back and forth twice between glass and tin. Pour back into double old fashioned glass, top with more ice if needed, and serve.
