You might file tonight’s recipe under “post-holiday hair of the dog,” seeing as how it’s pretty much a next-level version of a classic Bloody Mary. Here, crunchy cornichons lend texture and bold flavor to a drinking experience already made edgy by the likes of vodka, Dijon horseradish, and smoked paprika. No one’s saying you need to wait until after the holiday to enjoy one of these, but something tells us it will sure be a mighty nice recipe to keep in your back pocket for when it comes in handy.

Maille Mary Cocktail

  • 57g red tomato juice, chilled
  • 21g vodka
  • 1 tsp. Maille Cornichons juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp. Maille Dijon Horseradish
  • ½ tsp. lemon juice
  • 4 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • Pinch black pepper
  • Pinch celery salt
  • Pinch smoked paprika
  • Maille Cornichons for garnish

Preparation: Combine ingredients (except Maille Cornichons) in shaker. Serve in ice-filled glass. Garnish with one or two Maille Cornichons.
